Why Support the Animal League?
Did you know that when you support the Animal League, you help make a difference by supporting:
A leader in animal welfare with a clear Mission and Vision:
Our Mission: To build our hands-on rescue, rehabilitation and adoption efforts to save the lives of as many companion animals as possibleand promote education to increase shelter adoptions, reduce animal cruelty and advance the highest standards in animal welfare.
Our Vision: To create a world where all companion animals find compassionate, permanent homes to end animal cruelty and euthanasia.
The world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. When it comes to saving dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, we perform the hands-on work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home more of these wonderful animals under a no-kill policy, than any other organization. We have saved close to 1,000,000 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens to date.
A pioneer in the no-kill movement. The animals we rescue receive the medical and emotional care they need for a second chance.
An innovator in animal welfare. Creating ground-breaking initiatives that advance and support animal welfare, increase adoptions and reduce euthanasia, including areas of shelter advertising, mobile adoptions, humane relocation, national mobile adoption tours, global adoption events, low-cost spay/neuter referrals, national adoption referral site, and Mutt-i-grees®.
An organization that collaborates with shelter and rescue groups across the country. A cooperative buying program helps other animal welfare groups enjoy cost savings on much-needed equipment and supplies; our fleet of Mobile Adoption Units are loaned to shelter and rescue groups at no cost to expand their adoption efforts; our national adoption tours raise awareness of the plight of shelter animals and help our shelter partners increase adoptions, and our global adoption event unites over 2,000 shelter and rescue groups in 26 countries to promote pet adoptions and save lives.
An organization comprised of animal lovers like you, who are passionate about giving companion animals the care and quality of life that they deserve.
The Animal League is a registered 501(c)(3) animal charity that is funded entirely by private contributions, and receives no government funding.
