Loving Pup is Ready for Single-Pet Home
Tovah is a sweet, young pit bull mix who is ready for a loving home.
Tovah came to us in late December, 2013, from a municipal shelter who found her alone in the freezing cold, nearly starved to death. Our veterinary team provided her with immediate medical attention and she continued to be cared for at our Port Washington shelter. Despite this early trauma in her young life, she has won the hearts of everyone she meets with her soulful eyes that truly convey the sweetness of her spirit
Today, Tovah is a healthy 61 pounds, and feeling terrific. She is currently on a veterinary diet of Purina EN, a gastronenteric formula, which she may be able to come off in the future. Tovah is not overly active, and prefers short walks to a game of fetch. She is very housebroken, and will usually take care of her business quickly so she can return to cuddling inside.
Due to her size, Tovah would do best in a home with children 12 or over. She also wants to be the queen of her castle, so no other dogs or cats, please.
