North Shore Animal League America Receives $20,000 Grant From Maddie's Fund

Last year, North Shore Animal League America was the recipient of a $20,000 grant from Maddie's Fund, the largest foundation in the world supporting the welfare of companion animals.

This grant will be utilized to further our mission to "Rescue, Nurture and Adopt" homeless animals into loving homes. It will also be used for the collection and publication of annual shelter statistics relating to our work with the New York City Mayor's Alliance, an agency which rescues and finds homes for animals in the five boroughs.

The Mayor's Alliance is one of several hundred animal shelters and rescue groups participating in our multi-state Cooperative Adoption Program. Over the last decade, this very successful effort has facilitated the adoption of tens of thousands of companion animals.

With this generous grant, Maddies Fund joins scores of private foundations across the country that provide the critical resources we need to carry out our mission.
