Sir Kobe

Kobe was not a good or willing patient at the Animal League’s medical center when he came in for his check-up. His foster mom coaxed him into his carrier with a can of cat food, but once he realized that the carrier door closed he went into attack mode. It took three Animal League staff members to hold him down in order to sedate him for his essential ultrasound to assess his critical heart condition. It was a huge struggle but it was worth it – Kobe’s heart condition has not progressed! He also received a comprehensive exam as well as vaccinations and a long overdue nail clipping. It took him a little time to settle down once he made it back home, but now he is back to his normal self.

not so much a comment as a pat on the back. my cat jamison is also very, very fearful of vets office, and had actually been barred from one due to the scratching of one of the doctors. i was very surprised, as this was a place i had taken all of my animals for years. lucky for me, i found a place that would support jamison and myself, and knew how to handle tough clients. so , kudos to the staff!!

Kobe is a handsome, and spirited, guy. Having had a black and white of similar disposition — a mind of her own and displeasure going for check-ups — I know that Kobe is a wonderful cat. I admire his foster Mom’s dedication to helping Kobe and I and my Simone wish him well with his healing and send heartfelt thanks to his foster Mom.

That spirit is testimony to his strength. Strong, handsome, and loved…what a guy. Love and all good wishes to Kobe.

To do something, however small, to make others happier and better, is the highest ambition, the most elevating hope, which can inspire a human being.

My Babykat took a hunk out of a doctor once and was barred from returning. We got her a catnip toy shaped like a veterinarian and she shredded it. She’s also picky about associating with other animals. But I’m sure he’s like her in that, around family, they’re just sweet little furballs.
