Nina

Nina’s health has been right on target and she has been eating well as usual. She has learned to control her bladder with practice so there haven’t been any accidents in the house lately. Nina has learned to let her family know when she needs to go out to the yard in a very special way. She stands on her hind legs and wiggles around as if she is dancing. Her family knows when Nina starts her boogie to let her out in the yard. Even though she has lost her sight she darts over to her favorite spots in the yard before running back into the house for a quick bite and a nap.

I am happy to see that Nina is doing well, I sponser here every month and am glad to do it. I have two dogs of mine own and it would break my heart if in their time of need no one was there for them. Thank you for taking care of Nina.

    Ellen,

Thanks for all you do for Nina. Unfortunately, Nina will be going into the hospital tomorrow, 9/11, to have her bad eye removed. The pressure is to much and she can’t see out of it anyway. We all wish her the best for tomorrow for a quick recovery. I will keep you updated.

Nina is back home & doing great. When here hair grows back I will take a picture of her. Dr. Sapienza & his staff do great work. I can’t thank them enough for all the love they give Nina when she is there. So, what do you think about Nina being a Pirate for Halloween!

She is too cute!!! I’m glad the surgery went well and hope she recovers quickly. I just recently learned about North Shore -thru work email- and I immediately fell in love with the animals. I am happy to be able to sponsor animals since I live in TN, I can’t be a foster/adopting parent. I have a spoiled teacup Pom named Tink, and it kills me to think if she ever got ill that no one would be there for her. Thanks to everyone, including North Shore, for everything you do for these animals!

I would love to adopt a pet but I am all the way over in AZ and we took in 4 kittens over here. I donate when I can, as little as it may be and Im glad there are other people out there like me, with a loving pet heart.
Thank you for all that you do
    Christine

Nina is finished with chemo and is doing great! She is in full remision. NO MORE CANCER!! Shes a little thin but eating well. She is beautiful.

  12. Denise Says:

I think the cancer is back. Going to see the Doctor today @ North Shore :(

  13. Denise Says:

Nina went to the Oncologist and confirmed yes she has cancer. She had an infection and thats why her breathing was bad. They gave her a shot of something and overnight she was better. She’s eating like a little piglet and drinking lots of water. She looks better already. She is going back to the Dr. on Tuesday and if her infection is cleared up they will start chemo again to kick her back into remission.

    Things look goood!
