I think introducing shelter dogs to students is a wonderful thing. It will give students the insight to see how loving animals are. And to never abuse an animal but instead help them and by reporting any abuse. Maybe someday with the help of your students many changes and new stricter laws will be passed for the sake of the poor abused animal.Thank you for giving your love to the animals and the education to your students. As a volunteer for a local no-kill animal rescue group, I constantly see and hear of the suffering of abandoned and neglected or mistreated animals. I've become convinced that the education of our young people re animal issues is the most effective way to make - eventually - a truly profound change in our understanding of and attitude toward those beings with whom we share our (ever-smaller!) planet.
