Buttermilk’s family is happy to report that he’s doing great! His medication, coupled with the great care he receives from his owners, has helped Buttermilk heal tremendously. However, just when his allergic irritation was almost completely resolved, Buttermilk accidentally scratched his eye. But he has since been recovering nicely. His family was extremely pleased to see that his character has not been affected at all. He is still as sweet and loveable as can be! Buttermilk’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of his sponsors. Without all of your help his amazing progress would not be possible.

Buttermilk’s new medication had been working wonders for him in the first few weeks. However, there are still some days that his face appears irritated from his allergies. On these days, Buttermilk usually catches some extra zzz’s to help overcome his discomfort. He rests right on his owner’s bed nearly kicking his owner off as he sprawls out in pure contentment! When he’s not resting, Buttermilk loves to follow his new owner around like a shadow.

Buttermilk came in for his very first check-up since being adopted. He might have been a little nervous, but his best pal Anisette was right there to calm his nerves with her soothing purrs. The League provided this fluffy feline with an echocardiogram, which thankfully did not reveal any concerns. However, Buttermilk was prescribed stronger medication for his allergies. His adoptive parents were also provided with a new facial scrub to help alleviate Buttermilk’s consistent irritation. His new medical treatment seems to be helping Buttermilk and has even put a little pep in his step. He’s since been more curious and can be found exploring new places in his home.

Without a doubt Buttermilk loves being in a warm, cozy home. He has adjusted to his relaxing lifestyle now that he can explore outside of a cage and still has his best friend Annisette by his side at all times. Because he is on new medication, Buttermilk can sometimes become drowsy – but his adoptive parents have a large comfy bed for him to nap on when he wants to stretch out. Not to worry though, these cat naps do not overshadow Buttermilk’s sweet character. His personality has blossomed since being in his new home and we can’t wait to see our cheerful Buttermilk for his first check-up soon.
