Sir Kobe is spending a lot of time in the cat house lately!  He’s been a very bad boy.  He bit one of the other female cats in his household.  His foster mother is not sure what brought on this on, but in an effort to separate them, Sir Kobe is being kept in his own room most of the day.  While in his room, he does enjoy visits for playing, petting and relaxing.  We look forward to a very happy and healthy New Year for Sir Kobe and all of our beloved special-needs sponsor program pets!

We are happy to report that medically, Kobe is feeling well.  His foster mother tells us that he’s still at war with a couple of the other cats in the household and that she is still working hard to keep the peace among them.  When they do decide to settle down, Kobe’s favorite spot to relax is on the window sill in the front window of the house which looks onto the street.  He loves to watch the passersby and of course any animal activity, such as squirrels, birds and dogs!  His foster family has affectionately named him their watch cat!

Kobe was not a good or willing patient at the Animal League’s medical center when he came in for his check-up. His foster mom coaxed him into his carrier with a can of cat food, but once he realized that the carrier door closed he went into attack mode. It took three Animal League staff members to hold him down in order to sedate him for his essential ultrasound to assess his critical heart condition. It was a huge struggle but it was worth it – Kobe’s heart condition has not progressed! He also received a comprehensive exam as well as vaccinations and a long overdue nail clipping. It took him a little time to settle down once he made it back home, but now he is back to his normal self.
