January is the perfect time to make a new start in life—and no one deserves a new life more than the dogs rescued from puppy mills!

This month, North Shore Animal League America is continuing its lifesaving partnership with a wonderful organization called National Mill Dog Rescue, a non-profit dedicated to rescuing dogs from puppy mills—large-scale commercial breeding facilities where dogs are kept in horrible conditions. Hurricane Sandy’s Aftermath: A Tale of Thanks

In September’s blog, I shared with you how proud I am to be the spokesperson for Animal League America—especially in the wake of their lifesaving emergency rescue efforts during this summer’s many natural disasters, including the Colorado wildfires and Hurricane Isaac.
