On February 3-26, 2010, Purina ONE®, Martha Stewart and shelters nationwide, including North Shore Animal League America embarked on a life-saving tour called the “Purina ONE Tour For Heroes.” Their mission: Feed, Share, Save – feeding pets, sharing hope, saving lives.
This unique endeavor engaged consumers with simple yet meaningful ways to help make a difference in their communities, encouraging them to be “heroes” in the lives of shelter pets. On each tour stop, adoption events were held at local animal shelters, and temporary food banks were set up, where free Purina ONE dog and cat food was distributed to all. The exciting final stop was held at North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, NY.
