Route 66 Finale Event - Mutt-i-grees® Mania

Mutt-i-grees® Mania Sweeps New York! 

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Get Your Licks on Rt. 66 a great success!  During the Tour, which culminated with the grand finale - Mutt-i-grees Mania - in New York City, the Animal League found permanent and loving homes for 408 animals!  By the time it arrived in New York City, the Rt. 66 Pet Adoption Tour had traveled through 17 cities over 3,200 miles, between California and Illinois on historic Rt. 66 to raise awareness of the plight of homeless pets and the vital services that participating animal shelter and rescue partners provide to their communities.

At the end of the Tour, Animal League spokesperson Beth Stern was joined by other animal-loving celebrities at Hudson River Park Pier 40 for Mutt-i-grees Mania Rescue Rally and Pet Adoption event.  Participating in the event with Beth were Mutt-i-grees spokesperson and actress Kathryn Erbe; comedian, singer, actress, author Sandra Bernhard; designer John Bartlett; Tony nominated Broadway actress and singer Orfeh; actor Josh Flitter; model Jen Araki; on-air personality and author Maria Milito; television host Sara Gore; and actress Leesa Rowland.  The afternoon’s activities included a Celebrity Rescue Runway Dog and Catwalk with many beautiful and healthy Mutt-i-grees.
