Animal Lovers Join North Shore Animal League America For 77 WABC Radio’s “Bark In The Park With Sean Hannity”

Day-Long Event Features Canine and Feline Adoptions and Fun For the Whole Family

Port Washington, NY, June 23, 2011 - North Shore Animal League America (NSALA) will have two 36-foot mobile adoption units filled with wonderful dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens available for adoption at 77 WABC Radio’s Bark In the Park with Sean Hannity. The event will be held at the Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, Long Island on Saturday, June 25 from 10:00AM – 3:00 PM. WABC Radio’s Sean Hannity and his dog Duffy will be appearing at 11:30am and WABC Radio’s Mark Simone will serve as the emcee of the day’s activities. On the Planting Fields grounds, food and drinks will be available and live music will play throughout the event.

There will be games for pets and pet parents, including the Dog Dash; Fastest Sit in the East; Musical Chairs for Dogs; and Strut Your Mutt-i-gree®, where everyone will be a blue ribbon winner! The Animal League will also offer an agility course and puppy training and Mutt-i-grees ACTIV-ities. Under the NSALA tent, there will be giveaways and children’s arts and crafts projects.

Admission for “Bark in the Park with Sean Hannity” is FREE with on-site Parking at $8.00. If needed, the rain date for the event is Sunday, June 26 from 10:00AM – 3:00PM.

If you plan to attend the event, please make sure that your dog is:

  • Dog and family friendly.
  • Leashed at all times. The leash should not exceed 4-6 feet.
  • Healthy and fully vaccinated, including rabies vaccination.

SPECIAL NOTE: Some of the pets that will be available for adoption were rescued from the recent tornado activity in Alabama. NSALA has made several rescue trips to Alabama, the most recent one was last week when the Animal League returned with 55 animals from the Huntsville area of northern Alabama. These orphaned animals are in need of loving homes.
