What:

North Shore Animal League America will hold its annual DogCatemy Rescue Awards Dinner on Thursday, December 8th at 6:00pm at the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square, NYC. The Animal League will honor Cesar Millan, World Renowned Dog Expert, with the Cesar Millan Award for Excellence in Mutt-i-grees® Education, and David Wicks, Vice President of The NASDAQ OMX Group, with the Corporate Champion Award.

The fundraising affair will be hosted by Brian Kilmeade, co-host of Fox News Channel’s Fox and Friends with special guests to include Animal League spokesperson Beth Stern and Mutt-i-grees spokespeople and actors, Kathryn Erbe and Josh Flitter.

The evening’s theme will feature the Mutt-i-grees Curriculum that focuses on social and emotional learning through Mutt-i-grees - otherwise known as shelter pets. Representatives from schools around the country who created prize-winning Public Service Announcements for the “Mutt-i-grees America Adopts” PSA Contest will also be in the spotlight as a $10,000 Grand Prize grant and three $1,500 Regional Prize grants will be presented to each winning school.

Funding for the contest and grand prizes were made possible through the generosity of the friends and family of Tamara Tullman, an Animal League volunteer who adored animals and loved to teach children.

The Mutt-i-grees Curriculum, developed by the Animal League in collaboration with the Yale School of the 21st Century, is funded by the Millan Foundation.
