October 14, 2009 (Port Washington, NY) - Over 50 enthused athletes who are taking part in the ING New York City Marathon are running for the animals. Known as Team Animal League, their goal is to raise $300,000 for the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens of North Shore Animal League America. Now they have a cool graphic T-Shirt, the staple of American wardrobes, to boost fundraising efforts for their life-saving run on Sunday, November 1st.

Much of Team Animal League's fundraising will come through pledges and donations; but animal lovers can support the challenge with a donation of $100 or more and Team Animal League will send them a free, super-cool Victory Dog and Cat graphic T-shirt. Donors can wear it everywhere to display their caring for homeless animals who depend on the generosity of those who are concerned with their plight. The T-Shirt, called the "Victory Dog and Cat" T-Shirt, depicts the high-spirited animals crossing a finish line emblazoned with the words "Go Team Animal League." It was created by Spiritual Whimsy. Team Animal League believes that every time an animal goes home, it's a Victory!

For the pets, Team Animal League's victory will make a major contribution to their welfare.
