Taiwan Rescue December 2007

This past October, North Shore Animal League America and Animal Rescue Team Taiwan, (ARTT), collaborated in a rescue operation, airlifting 6 puppies and 2 dogs from Taiwan to the United States in an effort to save the innocent pups from death in their native country. Read more about the October 2007 Taiwan Rescue.

On the heels of that endeavor, the League and ARTT have again partnered to rescue 11 unwanted dogs and puppies from senseless slaughter in their native country.

On a bitterly cold night this week, North Shore Animal League America’s rescue team met the ARTT volunteers at New York’s JFK airport and brought the second group of animals back to the League for care and grooming, as well as behavior and medical evaluation. The dogs are now safe and warm at the League and being prepared to be put up for adoption as they become ready.
