Sponsor Animal Update:
Scarlett: 1st Quarter 2012
This quarter’s update features Sponsor Program cat Sir Kobe. Senior cat Sir Kobe’s family had a recent scare with him. They had to rush him to the Animal League’s clinic. He was lethargic, seemed in pain and was not eating. Even though he was not feeling well he still put up a good fight during the exam. The veterinarian had to use sedation to finally get him down. They did blood work which showed some sort of infection. They did a urine test and x-rays which showed he now has arthritis in his back. They gave him a shot of Convenia which is a long acting antibiotic and a shot of pain medication. He seems to be doing better now. His foster mother picks him up the stairs so he can get on top of his window perch. He seems to be getting back to his old self. Right after the New Year, Sir Kobe will be coming in for his annual ultrasound for his heart.
