Sponsor Animal Update: Carmen
1st Quarter 2011
Carmen’s adopted mother, Donna, is happy to report Carmen and her siblings are all doing great. She admits that she spoils all three of them to death. She really adores those little guys. Almost four years old now and they are stronger and happier than they have ever been. The Veterinarians thought they would have so many problems with their backs, hips and knee joints, but so far they are in good shape. They are so close to each other, that they groom each others ears and faces. It is quite a sight to see. Donna said she can now cut their nails without any problems from them. They used to growl and snap at her when it was time to trim their toe nails. They are given a treat once a day. It is 99% fat free chicken jerky, they go wild when they hear the drawer open where the treat is kept. This coming month, the pups will be moved from their play room to upstairs. A complete renovation of their room will be taking place. Heat in the floor so their feet won’t get cold; more open floor space for them to run around in their little carts without getting caught up or getting in each others way and a place to sleep and a place to eat. It’s like having their own little house within the house, each corner has a purpose.
