Sponsor Animal Update: Toby
Toby: 2nd Quarter 2011
Our “Little Man” has had a rough month. He caught a cold which turned into pneumonia and spent time in the Animal League’s medical center. He had an IV, which was supplying him with fluids and antibiotics, in one leg. He also had to wear a cone around his neck to prevent him from chewing the IV. Needless to say, Toby was not a happy camper. Word quickly spread that Toby was under the weather and the medical staff said he received more visitors than any other patient in the medical center. Several of his favorite volunteer dog walkers came over, waited for him to be unhooked from the IV, and took him for short walks. Toby is back in the Grooming Department now, but is still being monitored by the medical staff. With the warmer weather on the way, he will be able to take longer walks and enjoy being outside again. On behalf of Toby, thank you for your support. It is times like these when we realize how important it is that our sponsor animals can get the treatment and care they need.
