Bonnie joined the League's Sponsor Program in 2007. Bonnie is an adult domestic short hair with a colorful calico coat. She was dropped off at the League when her owners could no longer care for her. Gentle, sweet, and eager to please, Bonnie is a treasure. However, Bonnie is a special-needs animal dealing with several life-long health issues. She suffers from seizures and is on Phenobarbital, which needs to be administered twice a day. It is unknown where her seizures stemmed from, but they are under control nonetheless, and happen infrequently.

She also suffers from mild feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is the most common heart disease in cats. Because her heart murmur is mild right now, she does not require treatment. If it progresses, future medication will become necessary. In addition to these ailments, Bonnie also has elevated liver enzymes, which suggest liver disease. For this she is on denosyl, which aids liver efficiency. She will probably be on this medication for the rest of her life. All these unfortunate conditions have not tampered with Bonnie's charming disposition.
