Meet Suna and Her Kittens

Suna is a 10-month-old calico cat. North Shore Animal League rescued young Suna from a small, overcrowded shelter and a very uncertain fate. Suna was pregnant, and unfortunately, when there are space and fund restrictions, pregnant animals are often one of the first to be euthanized.

The Animal League placed Suna in our Nursery Program, which cares for mothers and litters. Finally in a clean, safe place, Suna gave birth to four healthy, gorgeous kittens.

The Nursery not only gave Suna a place to have her litter in safety, it gave the five of them a second chance at life.

The Nursery will care for Suna and her young until they are all ready to be placed in loving homes. From rescue, rehabilitation to adoption, this complete care is possible because of the generous support of caring individuals like you.

You can help Suna and her kittens and many other families like theirs get all the love and care they need to survive. Please contribute to the Nursery Program today, and start saving lives.
