As 2024 comes to a close, we end a year that has filled our hearts with gratitude and hope: 80 years of Rescue, Nurture, Adopt, and Educate. What began as a small shelter on the north shore of Long Island, has grown into the world’s largest and longest running no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. Over the decades, we’ve saved more than 1.2 million lives, transforming the futures of animals across the globe. Today, that small shelter has grown exponentially, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and fueled by a dedicated team honoring the commitment started in 1944. As we honor the past, we also look to the future, determined to continue building on this incredible legacy for generations to come.
