About Our Local Partners

The Jefferson SPCA exists to support the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter, and aid in its lifesaving mission. Our programs prevent and address animal cruelty and provide much-needed medical treatment, rescues, and ultimately adoptions for homeless pets. We boast (we can’t help it; we’re proud) one for the most ambitious spay and neuter programs in the country and are committed to the treatment and eradication of heartworm in pets that would otherwise be euthanized.
