We are currently seeking a Human Resources Benefits Coordinator. The role of the Human Resources Benefits Coordinator is to assist with the administration and coordination of North Shore Animal League Americas benefits. He/she will work collaboratively with the HR team and external vendors to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily administration of workers compensation.
  • Employee inquiries, enrollments, changes, and terminations of participants in all benefit plans and programs.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of benefit administration experience, with strong knowledge of HR benefits including Worker’s Compensation, Disability, COBRA and Family Medical Leave Act.
  • Responsible to assist in the onboarding process of all new hires with the ability to conduct new hire and benefit orientation.


  • 2 years of Benefit Administration experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of experience and education.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exhibit sensitivity in handling employee issues.
  • Required to be well versed on the benefit plans that NSALA offers.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications with the ability to learn new computer based and technical skills is required.
  • Must be detail-oriented and with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to multitask, manage deadlines and change priorities.
  • Must have the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
