North Shore Animal League America is currently seeking a full-time Pet Store Team Leader to assist Kennel Manager assigned to oversee the pet store in all aspects of store operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in training and evaluating pet store staff and volunteers
  • Design and maintain selling floor display for maximum sales impact
  • Create daily, weekly and monthly sales goals and incentives for staff and volunteers to reach and exceed these goals
  • Share monthly reports to assigned manager
  • Comparison shop for competitive pricing, negotiate wholesale prices with vendors
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, and accurate inventory
  • Provide quality customer service and develop customer clientele
  • Cashier duties, Order supplies for the store
  • Assist with unloading supplies into the pet store storage containers/closets
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the store and stock areas
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Some retail experience required
  • Positive and friendly attitude
  • Desire to make a positive difference in the lives of animals
  • Computer knowledge would be helpful
  • Must be able to lift a maximum of 40 lbs.
  • Desire to make a positive difference in the lives of animals
