Together We Can End the Pet Homelessness Crisis

Spaying and neutering isn’t just beneficial for your pets at home – it’s critical for our communities. These routine procedures spare dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens from suffering on the streets, and prevent overpopulation and shelter crowding. Especially since 2020, when spaying or neutering were no longer essential surgeries, shelters and rescues across the country are facing a crisis as rates of animal homelessness rise. We believe spay/neuter efforts like our SpayUSA program, which since 1993 has provided referrals to high-quality, affordable spay/neuter procedures across the country, are crucial to reducing animal euthanasia numbers nationwide.

Animal League America also supports Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release (TNVR) programs for managed colonies as a way to control and maintain healthy feral feline populations.
