Jabba was tied up outside for months on end, neglected by her owners… even when she lost her back leg in a completely preventable incident. Sweet Jabba’s situation worsened when she became pregnant, and gave birth under these horrific conditions. Thankfully, this mama gave birth to four healthy puppies before she and her pups made the journey to our Port Washington, NY, campus, where they received regular medical checkups and special grooming care.

Violence against animals takes many forms from intentional acts of harm to neglect to cruel breeding practices. We need every animal lover to be an advocate against ALL forms of animal cruelty.
