Student Ambassadors Changing the World

As part of our mission to educate, the Mutt-i-grees® Curriculum Global Ambassador Program encourages students to volunteer to give voice to the voiceless, whether they are homeless animals or humans. In collaboration with their peers and community, they raise awareness for injustice creating change through their own actions. Take a look at this year’s class of Ambassadors and the work they have done to create a more humane world.

Next week, thousands of innocent animals will be stolen, tortured and slaughtered at the annual Yulin Dog Meat Festival in Yulin, China. We need your help to end it for good. Across Asia, millions of dogs and cats are eaten each year. But that’s changing. Recently South Korea introduced a sweeping ban on eating and selling dog meat. But we won’t rest until this practice is illegal everywhere. Will you raise your voice and help us shut down this cruel practice?

Celebrating 80 Years Leading the No-Kill Community

1997: A Lifeline for Special-Needs Pets

In 1997, North Shore Animal League America launched the Pet Sponsorship Program, a monthly donation program to provide ongoing care for special-needs animals. Originally starting with just a few dogs in need of assistance, the program has grown to support the lifelong medical care for hundreds of dogs and cats over the years — even when they are adopted.
