Sam Rosalie
Sam and her husband William live in Jersey City, and 5 years ago they visited a friend who happened to be fostering a dog that, as fate would have it, went on to become their dog. They fell in love and by the end of the night they knew Savannah was meant to be theirs. Now Sam wants to connect other people with this same kind of gift: the selfless and grateful love of a pet. Beyond her obsession with animal rescue, Sam is a very proud member of Elvis Duran and the Morning Show in NYC, where she’s lucky enough to have worked for 14 years with like-minded animal lovers. She loves yoga, hiking, and pottery, but nothing brings her more joy than her dog Savannah getting happy zoomies. She’s honored to be part of the North Shore Animal League America family!

Tantor may have arrived at our no-kill campus with a painful past, but today he’s living like the hero he was always meant to be! Once facing an uncertain future as a senior dog with a severe skin infection, he was rescued just in time and began the healing process at our Pet Health Centers. That’s when Marissa and her husband came looking for a new companion for their resident pup, and their hearts were stolen by his gentle spirit. They knew right away he deserved a second chance. Renamed Bruce Wayne, this sweet soul has settled happily into family life. He loves to snuggle and greets each day with joy. Thanks to love, care, and a little superhero spirit, Bruce Wayne is thriving and proudly serving as our 2025 Walk & Wag Help Me Heal Hero!
