The Season of Sun Spots

There’s always one day in early spring when the air feels new, the light feels new, and even the mushy ground underfoot yields a little to make room for all the new growth waiting to burst forth. So if you asked me to define spring, I’d have to say it all comes down to one word: renewal.

To be surrounded by a litter of bouncing, playful kittens is my joy!  My husband and I say all the time, “nothing is cuter than watching a kitten!”

Too Much Winter: Not Fit for Man or Beast!

The winter of 2015 is definitely one for the record books — frigid, snowy, windy, and long! Yes, it’s beautiful at times. I love the way the city sparkles in the sunlight on a clear wintery day. But as the sun goes down, I often worry about cats and dogs left outside to fend for themselves in the bitter, freezing cold.
