Most days, the Animal League’s Pet Adoption Center offers approximately 350 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens.
The shelter features medical examination and grooming areas where new admissions are health-checked, vaccinated, bathed and groomed. For adopters we provide a bright, spacious atrium to become acquainted with their potential companions, and a family waiting room.
Visitors are reminded that adoption is a lifelong commitment. After selecting a pet, each potential adopter is thoroughly screened to ensure that they understand the life-changing commitment a new pet can be.
To date, close to 1,000,000 pet owners have met our high standards and have adopted a pet from North Shore Animal League America.
