Everybody loves a birthday…. Rescue dogs deserve birthday celebrations and that was the thinking when North Shore Animal League America declared the first day of August as DOGust 1st^®, the official birthday of all rescue dogs or as we like to call them, Mutt-i-grees.

This year we’re getting the party started with free adoptions for dogs and cats 4 months and older from August 1st through August 7th at our Port Washington, NY Adoption Center.*

*All adoptions are subject to approval. Offer applies to adoptions of dogs and cats 4 months or older only. Offer DOES NOT APPLY to rescue dogs from commercial breeding facilities. Must be 21 or older to adopt. Spay/neuter deposit may apply. Available at our Port Washington, NY Adoption Center only.
