North Shore Animal League America is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Intern. The Digital Marketing team oversees the Organization’s integrated digital marketing strategy and marketing technology in order meet fundraising and pet adoption goals. Key areas of responsibility include managing lead acquisition, outreach, and fundraising across all digital channels: email, website, SEM, banner advertising, social and CTV. The Digital Marketing team also oversees and develops the organization’s digital marketing platforms–WordPress, CMS, Email Marketing Automation, Asset Management to deliver on Animal League America’s goals (awareness, revenue, pet adoption).
To learn about the Digital Marketing process, the intern is fully integrated into the digital marketing team and is encouraged to attend internal and external meetings. The intern will have a focus on researching new digital marketing/fundraising opportunities and bringing them to execution.
Areas you will be learning about:
- How the digital team strategizes and executes marketing/fundraising campaigns.
- How to construct digital marketing calendars.
- How to build digital marketing strategies (across email, social, paid, etc.)
- How to analyze and report on performance across all digital platforms
- How to conduct competitive market research in order to assist the team in keeping track of new trends within the fundraising and digital space.
- Understand strategies to pitch ideas and contribute to this process.
- How to make updates to our website and mobile apps when needed.
- How to properly create digital assets for campaigns.
- Digital Marketing tools: Photoshop, WordPress, email programs.
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time college student working towards your Associate’s or Bachelor’s.
- Extremely detail oriented and organized.
- Proficient understanding of the digital marketing landscape (email, social, search engines).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Docs.
- Self-starter who can complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Very strong written & communication skills.
- Works well with a team.
- Good with tight & strict deadlines.
- Easily adjusts to shifting priorities.
- Exceptional computer, written and verbal communication skills.
