Charlie was admitted to North Shore Animal League America’s care in the autumn of 2025, at the age of 9. He and his brother lived happily in their home, but after their owner passed away, they were taken in by kindhearted neighbors to foster. Charlie is on several daily medications for Cushing’s disease, a serious hormonal disorder caused by an overproduction of cortisol by the adrenal glands, affecting multiple internal organs.
