We’re looking for a dependable, detail‑oriented Customer Service Representative to support our animal rescue and adoption efforts. As a key point of connection between the public and our organization, this role blends accuracy, clarity, and purpose into work that makes a real difference—for animals and the people who care about them.
While this is an office‑based role rather than hands‑on animal care, your work directly contributes to successful rescues and adoptions.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to inquiries from the public, donors, and prospective adopters via phone and email, using approved guidelines and templates to deliver accurate, respectful service
- Enter, update, and maintain information across internal systems and spreadsheets accurately and consistently
- Process routine service requests, including updates to customer profiles, payment information, and donation‑related inquiries
- Conduct animal surrender intake evaluation scheduling by phone, using structured questions and established criteria
- Collaborate with internal departments to escalate and resolve complex or non‑routine inquiries
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a customer service, administrative, or office support role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and approachable tone
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Comfortable using a computer throughout the workday, including email and basic office software
- Comfortable learning and working within multiple systems in a structured, process‑driven environment; training provided
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain consistent work quality and professionalism
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage routine tasks with care and consistency
- Fluency in a language other than English is a plus, but not required
Salary: $20.00 per hour
