A Glamorous Night for a Lifesaving Mission

North Shore Animal League America’s 2026 Rescue Gala brought together animal lovers, adopters, and longtime supporters on Friday, June 12, for an unforgettable evening at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Hosted by ABC News’ multi-Emmy Award-winning Will Ganss and chaired by Animal League America board member, national spokesperson and foster parent Beth Stern, the event was a joyful celebration of our lifesaving work.

Throughout the evening, guests heard powerful stories of rescue, healing and adoption, along with a candid look at the time, expertise, and funding required to give vulnerable animals the second chances they deserve. A special performance by singer-songwriter Joshua Radin of his new song, “Tomorrow’s Gonna Be Better,” featured a moving video wall of Animal League America rescue pets, both adopted and still waiting for homes.

The evening also honored Jeff Schick with the Crystal Collar Award for his longtime commitment to Animal League America, and Coney Island’s Abraham Lincoln High School with the Mutt-i-grees^® Crystal Collar Award^® for its decade-long embrace of the Mutt-i-grees Curriculum and inspiring support of homeless animals.

Together, our sponsors, donors and guests turned one unforgettable night into lifesaving care, second chances, and loving homes for animals who are counting on us.
