Join the celebration for DOGust 1st, the official birthday of all rescue dogs!

Our shelter partners are hosting DOGust 1st adoption events across the country to help you find your new best friend closer to home!

Specials & Activities:

We’re attempting to break the Guiness World Record for “Largest cake for a dog” by creating a 500 pound, bone-shaped birthday cake using a dog-friendly recipe. After the weigh-in the dog-friendly cake will be shared with shelters and rescue groups in North Texas. Visitors will also be able to take cake home to celebrate with their dogs.

More fun-filled activities for kids including Birthday Hat Building, Shelter Pup Birthday Card Making, and Coloring Sheets.
