We are currently seeking an Events Coordinator who will be a part of a team responsible for the planning, organization, coordination and facilitation of fundraising and mission related events.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support to the Sr. Events Manager and Events Manager with the planning, organization, coordination, promotion, and facilitation of fundraising and mission related events.
  • Support Events Team with coordination and monitoring of event plans, timelines, run of shows and staffing plans.
  • Administrative support including: preparing and tracking check requests, ordering event supplies, keeping inventory of donated items and event supplies, mail merges and mailings, packing and unpacking supplies and auction items in preparation for events, updating Power Point decks and presentations.
  • Research aspects of new mission-related and fundraising events and new fundraising trends.
  • Research prospects and solicits companies for event sponsorships and in-kind donations.
  • Evaluate and follows up with new event inquiries.
  • Work with appropriate departments (Communications, Shelter Operations, Web team, etc.) to help promote events and showcase our organization and brand in positive, professional, and consistent manners following approved guidelines and style guide.
  • Work with Events Team to troubleshoot and smooth issues related to the successful execution of the event program while planning, as well as day of event.
  • Work with Events team on post event follow-up with vendors, sponsors, and event participants and guests.
  • Support auction outreach, tracking, preparation and fulfillment of donated items.
  • Support Walk efforts by answering fundraising and website questions, keep track of weekly contest winners, mailing incentives for virtual walkers. 
  • Work with Events manager to set up weekly fundraising emails.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor degree required, with 1-3 years of experience in Events preferred.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable and courteous communication externally, as well as internally.
  • Excellent, organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Have the ability to problem solve and work independently in a changing and multitasking environment with numerous deadlines.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point. Knowledge of InDesign and event management technology a plus.
