We are seeking an experienced compassionate, and highly organized Foster & Adoption Program Manager.  Responsible to oversee the daily operation and growth of the Bianca’s Furry Friends Foster and Adoption Program, managing adoptions, foster placements, volunteer engagement, and animal care coordination to increase rescue capacity and successful adoptions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, shelter management experience, and a passion for animal welfare. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating closely with staff, volunteers, foster families, adopters, veterinary professionals, and organizational leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the Bianca’s Furry Friends (BFF) Foster and Adoption Program, including adoptions, foster placements, and rescue admissions.
  • Screen adoption applicants, review references, process adoption paperwork, and maintain accurate records and tracking systems.
  • Coordinate the care, transportation, intake, adoption, and return of cats and kittens within the program.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for adopters, foster caregivers, volunteers, and Beth Stern-related program inquiries.
  • Monitor animal welfare and coordinate medical, behavioral, and foster care needs in collaboration with veterinary and shelter teams.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise volunteers and interns to support program growth and adoption goals.
  • Prepare reports and provide regular updates on program activity, adoption outcomes, and foster placements.
  • Collaborate with Shelter Operations, Rescue, Foster Care, Adoptions, and Veterinary Services to ensure successful animal placements and program effectiveness.
  • Assist with adoption promotion efforts and identify animals that would benefit from inclusion in the BFF program.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of animal shelter experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel locally as needed.
  • Positive, professional, and collaborative team player.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to improving the lives of homeless animals.

Salary: $66,300
