Get to Know Ruby
Ruby is our super special Mini Aussie who was rescued in 2021 from a puppy mill. Upon arrival at our no-kill campus, Ruby was found to be suffering from many common issues that puppy mill rescues arrive with, including matted fur, underweight, and being fearful. But Ruby also had a fractured jaw. After spending some time in the care of our Pet Health Centers, Ruby was placed in a foster home where she has been recovering beautifully and coming out of her shell more and more everyday. So much so, that now she is ready for a home of her own.
Ruby would do well in a home with dog experienced adopters, and children over the age of 16. Ruby can still be fearful and may be slow to warm up to new friends, but when trust is made you'll have a friend for life. This sweet girl craves companionship and would really thrive in a quiet home where humans would be around most of the day. Ruby is a cat friendly dog, and if you have another dog in the home Ruby would like to meet them first. Ruby’s dream would be to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to frolic and play in. She has been through so much and is really deserving of a great home to retire in!
