Get to Know Sassafrass

Double Adoption with Sam Hill, #H210920. When Sam Hill arrived with his sister Sassafras this fall, he felt pretty great about his prospects for a safer life indoors. Sassafras, on the other hand, was not won over by her human companions. Sam is so devoted he offered all of his support, and joined his sister in a wonderful foster home to help them relearn how to trust the humans who adore them. Now this adorable pair of older kittens is looking for an experienced, quiet home with older children who will help reinforce all the good things they learned from their foster mom. Sam Hill is just about as purrfect as kittens go, and Sassafras watches his every move to gain confidence. If you’ve had experience nurturing the fear out of kittens, you’re exactly the hero Sassafras and Sam Hill are looking for!

Next Steps for Sassafrass

We are expanding our adoption services while still keeping the safety of our animals, staff, volunteers and visitors our top priority.

Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center will be open daily, from 10am – 5:30pm, for kitten and cat adoptions with no appointment needed.

The Alex and Elisabeth Lewyt Canine Adoption Center will be open Monday-Thursday, 10am-5:30pm, for dog and puppy adoptions with no appointment needed, and Friday-Sunday, 10am-6pm, by appointment only.
