Last year in December I gave my cat away to my co-worker. I recently found out that the cat is not being taken care of properly and want her back so that I have peace of mind that the cat is safe in my care. She’s offered to let me cat sit at my house while she goes on vacation, legally, could I just keep the cat at that point, with the concerns I have? Neither of us have documentation of ownership but I have the cat’s shot records while my co-worker has no papers.
My pets were taken last Thursday, my lawyer has said they are pressing charges, but I haven't reviewed any paperwork yet. My lawyer hasn't told me how to retrieve them, but I've read online I need to request a hearing in 14 days. They told me they took them because we were gone and one dog had fly strike on the ears, while my Doberman had no issues. My dogs are loved, what can I do?
I put a deposit and paid fully $3k for a specific kitten I picked out through pictures she provided. When I went to get my kitten, she gave me a different one telling me that it looks different than when I first picked her because she was so young. I have photos proving it's not the same kitten since she posted pictures of them and I was very excited, so I saved them. Can I get the kitten I paid for? Or get my money back?
He's a narcissist. How to go about doing it?
Is it legal to leave a dog in an apartment while owner is in the hospital?
I work with a small rescue. We have an adopter who after the adoption discovered the dog was pregnant. The adoption agreement does not deal with this issue. Now the puppies are 7 weeks old, and the adopter is claiming they are her dogs. Legally who owns the dogs?
I'm a live-in caregiver for my ex-wife and we're living in a government subsidized apartment. We're both elderly and both have emotional support cats with papers from our doctors. The landlord just told me after living here a year with an ESA that I have to get rid of mine. Is this true?
Our backyard is fully fenced, but one side was put up by the neighbor instead of us. That side is falling apart with several broken boards. My dog was playing in the backyard, jumped up at a bird, and landed on a broken part of fence with an exposed metal bracket. The bracket ripped through skin and muscle, and left a large laceration on my dog’s chest, which required an emergency vet visit and stitches. Do we have any legal standing for recovering vet costs from the neighbor? Or for having them replace/repair the fence?
Animal control claims that they have the right to fix my dog because they got loose, went across the street and laid down in my neighbor's yard. Animal control said they have the right to fix my dog, before the 72-hour deadline Please let me know what I can do.
I had an NCO from the State on my son. I could not return to my home for 3 weeks! My son and his girlfriend gave my dog away without my knowledge and permission. I am suing the person with my dog. Will the Judge give me back my dog?
