I moved out of the state recently and my friend agreed to watch my cat for me. Her husband came home and chased him around the house and put him in a box and drove to a field and let him loose.
I had to take my dog in to be euthanized. I asked to have her cremated and the ashes put in an urn and sent to me. After approximately three weeks I started calling the vet and they told me they could not find my dog's ashes.
I rescued a mama cat from under my neighbor’s house and her kittens are feral. The supposed owners have absolutely no proof of ownership and didn't rescue her or provide any type of shelter or food despite knowing where they were. Am I legally the owner since they've been in my care and these people have no proof?
