What rights do I have against seller who misrepresented dog breed?

I bought puppy which seller said was a cavapoo (poodle/cavalier mix) but after having it for a few weeks and seeing it mature, the physical appearance looks like a cocker spaniel which is a different breed. I also ordered an embark dog DNA test and the results show it's a cocker spaniel without any poodle or cavalier in it's DNA genetics. I brought this to the sellers attention but they won't take the dog back or give refund. Seller does not have the mother dog nor will provide videos to prove the mother and puppy together. All seller gave as proof was vet puppy examination paper which I told the breeder the vet will put whatever breed you tell them the puppy is, they have no special way to determine the breed either. What remedies do I have legally?

Unauthorized Neutering

My girlfriend's dog was taken to the pound after she was assualted in my apartment. She is from NY and they neutered her dog without consent even though we showed all paperwork to the Officer and they said they wouldn't. He is an expensive do and was planned on being bred. What can we do legally?

Custody after breakup for non-married couple.

My ex left me abruptly without notice and took her things and the dogs (2) while I was at work. We adopted them together but they are in my name (I paid all the fees). I have paid for most of the vet bills, food and a portion of dog walking fees. She paid for the dog walker for the past 6-8 months because she wanted to use someone else. We lived in SF and she moved them to San Diego. I would have been willing to amicably agree to 50/50 joint custody but was not given the chance. She has blocked my calls and does not respond to email. I am not sure how to proceed.

Failure to Comply with Adoption Contract

I am the director of a 501c3 animal rescue. We have an adopter that is failing to comply with our spay/neuter agreement within our adoption contract that was signed at the time of adoption. They have been avoiding all methods of contact for over 60 days. I’m hoping to find out what the best avenue to hopefully gain compliance would be? While our contract states failure to comply is grounds for removal of the animal from their home, we’d really prefer not to go to that extreme.

Is it a crime that my boyfriend intentionally released my indoor rabbit outside?

Is it a crime that my boyfriend got mad at me so he let my indoor rabbit, who's never ever been outside, go and he watched him go? To me he just killed my rabbit. Indoor rabbits will not survive outdoors. they would be very domesticated and predators will kill Jim very quickly. I know he's dead I can feel it. Is there anything criminal wise I can do to him?

Is rescue adoption agreement clause legal?

Many rescue groups in the Midwest include a clause in the agreement that they claim is legally binding. The clause prohibits an adopter from giving the dog to anyone else and indicates that one must return him/her to the rescue group if one must relinquish the dog. Is this legal?

My ex wants to keep my dog.

My ex and I split, and she and I had an agreement for sharing custody of my dog I acquired. Now she is trying to stop me from having my dog at all.

Watching a friend’s dog during the pandemic turned into a rehoming, we thought.

At the beginning of the pandemic, a jobless, homeless (couch surfing) friend asked us to look after his dog. We happily did it because the dog was suffering from neglect and loneliness. The owner made it clear he just needed this until he got back on his feet. We expected it to only be for a few months, but the pandemic carried on. In the meantime, we medically cared for the sweet little pup, as he came to us with an abscess and unvaccinated. And of course we fell in love with the little guy. At the 6 month mark, the friend disappeared entirely (changed his number and email and left no contact info), so by the 1 year mark we assumed the dog was ours. Now it has been 15 months and the owner is back and demanding his dog.
